Summer is just around the corner, so don’t forget the following tips for a safe and healthy fun filled summer!
1. Always rehydrate! – Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day to prevent dehydration and heat stroke
2. Avoid too much sun exposure
3. Be sure to use sun block -This isn’t only used for beauty purposes. Applying sunscreen and sunblock when you go out keeps your skin protected from too much ultraviolet radiation that the sun can give you.
4. Don’t forget to use eye protection/ eyewear with uv protection- too much uv exposure to the eyes may cause the eyes to become irritated, sore and maybe prone to infection
5. Take a bath at least twice a day- this is to help lower down your body temperature
6. Don’t forget to monitor your blood pressure- high temperatures may cause your blood pressure to shoot up thus it may lead to other more serious conditions such as stroke, heart attack or heat stroke.
